I owe no-one!

I don’t give a quarter, a dime
If people don’t think highly of me!
I always care two hoots
If people think I don’t toe their line!
I wouldn’t blink even once
If I’m marooned all alone, on an island, fine!

Page

One moment, I’m empty
The other, filled with words, symbols, signs
I tolerate the incoherent, the messy handwriting
And take pride in good presentation
Though, given a choice, I’d prefer to be blank
I make a mark, only when filled
Though I’m called a page,
I’m a mirror of your thoughts and emotions
Just read me, to read yourself !

Wish

Grant me a wish to go wherever I wish
To peep into people’s minds
Wander into strangers' souls
Hear what the birds chirp
Understand what animals speak
Sway with the colorful, fragrant, flowers
Speak the language of love
To make others’ wishes come true!

Many Happy Returns of the Day!

Cherish this day when you were born
Remember your mother from night to morn
Make yourself worthy of your race
Among the stars there’s lots of space!
Many others may come and go
But never will anyone, like you glow!
Like a torch you must light the way
Let no one forget you, come what may
My best wishes are always with you, day after day
‘MANY, MANY, HAPPY RETURNS OF THE DAY!’

Happy Birthday, dear Deepesha. May God bless you and fulfill all your wishes.

Your Boss

Your boss is gross
He goes only for candy-floss
He’s such a louse
For words, I am at a loss !
Others’ flaws, he may gloss
Yours, he shines like brass
Give his job a toss
And show him that you are your own BOSS !

Twins

We are just alike, and difficult not to like
When I ride a bike
My brother’s gal hitches a hike!
When I fail a paper, my brother’s party to my caper
When I rob a cell, he goes to a jail cell!
Life’s pretty smooth-sailing
What with all his bailing, to cover up all my failing(s)!
