Death

The great leveler,

You catch everyone unawares!

Not anyone do you spare!

Disease, riots, wars, epidemics

Are of course, your endemics!

       When one has no choice,

        You sadistically rejoice!

        You leave a wave of anguish,

        Misery, helplessness,

        With your sheer meanness!

Those who think themselves immortal,

You render false, thoroughly mortal!
