Walls

We confine spaces,
Provide boundaries, limits
Are insurmountable at times
Humble and lowly at times.
We enclose minds, cities, and often; History!
We are bare or highly adorned.
Though we may seem a mystery
In our architecture, there’s artistry.
Sometimes we are visible, sometimes invisible
Tangible, intangible, weak or mighty
We most often accomplish our duty!
We always stand erect; come what may
Guarding secrets, day after day!
