A fortnight ago, we watched with great anguish, as the mortal remains of our beloved and revered Dada J.P.Vaswani, were taken in a funeral procession through our city's thoroughfares. As tears crept unbidden into our eyes, we paid our respects to the great soul who was truly an apostle of peace and unity.
How we wished, as did everyone else, that he had completed 100 years of age and beyond! But he himself would have chastened us by saying that the body is but mortal. The Aatman or Soul lives on!
We pray to the Almighty that his blessed soul rests in eternal peace and his teachings continue to inspire and motivate us to lead enriched lives!
Dear Dada, we will observe the moment of calm today at 2 p.m. on the occasion of your birth centenary and pray for universal brotherhood, peace and forgiveness.
Your legacy will live on in our hearts!
