          She knew instinctively that that girl meant TROUBLE! Well, she could only keep her fingers tightly crossed for the time being. But she resolved to be utterly strict with her. No kid gloves. Only an iron fist!

          Hence their household daily resembled a ‘mini Kurukshetra’, with Dada, Dadi and poti engaging in colorful, no-holds barred, slanging matches, with each trying hard to outdo the other!

          At such times, the grand-parents would gang up against their belligerent grand-daughter.

          Dadaji would scream, “Neha, you are now our responsibility. You must do as we say!” Dadiji would holler, “If you don’t do as we say, we’ll pack you off to your parents’ place right away” and Neha would protest wildly, “I am your grand-daughter, damn it, not your servant! Please don’t order me around or I’ll run away and besmirch your reputation!”
