Excerpt from"Wow! Wrong Number" written by me. A collection of absorbing, slice-of-life stories.
Story - Englis Babu
“That man who is the object of so much ridicule, pity and rejection on the streets out there, was a highly respected lecturer in a reputed college in Mumbai. His name is Narendra Ghosh. He taught English Literature and was adored by his students. He married a beautiful young lady named Kamala. He adored her and loved her more than life itself. He provided for all that she needed and slogged for all that she wanted! He saw to it that she was never denied anything that she craved for. Life was one happy dream for the couple. But all good things in life are short-lived, as we all know!”
“One day, when he returned, exhausted from his long hours at college, expecting a hot cup of tea and a warm welcome by his beloved wife, he saw a letter placed on the door latch. There was a lock on the door. Perplexed, he opened the letter and read it.”
