What does it matter to me if…?

What does it matter to me if someone is unreasonable?
I’ve better things to do rather than feel miserable!
What does it matter to me if some prefer being bossy?
I’ve better things to do and ensure that I’m perfectly sassy!
What does it matter to me if some are often arrogant?
I’ve better things to do rather than think what they meant!
What does it matter to me if a person is obnoxious?
I’ve better things to do than only being anxious!
What does it matter to me about what others think about me?
I’ve better things to do rather than thinking about it; and that’s the key
To my eternal contentment and bliss! For all to see!

To My Dear Ramesh, With Love

This Valentine’s day, make me thine

Say “I love you” and let our love shine!

Let’s vow to stay together forever.

I’ve a feeling ‘You’re the only one ever!’

Let’s be each other’s beloved Valentine

For all the Valentine’s days to come.

Besides, this Valentine’s day,

Let me hear what you’ve to say

But only if it’s what I want

to hear you, my Valentine, say;

“I love you and know, You do too!”
“I love you and know, You do too!”

Walls

We confine spaces,
Provide boundaries, limits
Are insurmountable at times
Humble and lowly at times.
We enclose minds, cities, and often; History!
We are bare or highly adorned.
Though we may seem a mystery
In our architecture, there’s artistry.
Sometimes we are visible, sometimes invisible
Tangible, intangible, weak or mighty
We most often accomplish our duty!
We always stand erect; come what may
Guarding secrets, day after day!

Beloved Anna's 80th Birthday

Our father, whom we fondly refer to as Anna, completed 80 years of age today. A happy, enriching and successful life, in which he has encouraged and nurtured us and made us good and accomplished human-beings. Always there for us, at all times! A loving and devoted husband, a friendly father and father-in-law, a doting grandpa and a friend in need to friends and even acquaintances! In short, a wonderful human-being.
He spreads good cheer even when he is not around. Always jovial and easy-going, with a great sense of humor, his zest for life draws people to him and keeps him going great guns!
He's a talented artiste and palmist. What sets him apart from others is his infectious, child-like enthusiasm, helpful and active persona. He is modest, self-effacing and quietly does whatever is expected of him without any fuss.We are very happy and lucky to have such a wonderful Dad!

Happy Birthday, dear Anna and wish that you may have many more splendid Birthdays. Wish you all the happiness in this world, peace, prosperity and good health.
                                                                                          From your three little gems.

Here's a poem that I had written a long while ago, dedicated to my Dad:

           To Dad, with love!
Our Special Hero!

My friend, philosopher and guide
You are always there by my side
Between us there is nothing to hide
Life has been such a smooth ride!
At times a friend, at times a brother,
Even a mother, aren’t you dear father?
Like you there can be none other
I can vouch for that, my dear father!
Easy-going and fun-loving you’ve always been
Principles and values like yours, I’ve never seen
Never strict even when I was a teen,
Your countenance is ever so serene!
You always take things easily in your stride
By honesty, patience and faith, you always abide.
You are the best father, I say with pride
Always my friend, philosopher and guide!
