• I always wanted to develop my writing skills and was on the constant lookout for a mentor who could help me out with this. On LinkedIn I came across information related to Priya’s Vision Academy in Pashan. It is run by Mrs. Priya Swaminathan. She has a rich experience of nearly a decade in teaching creative writing. She conducts weekend classes for working professionals. On seeing her profile and her body of work, I was assured of the quality of output that I would be able to generate under her guidance. During the pandemic she started conducting virtual classes through video-conferencing on alternate days for 1 hour each. Initially I was worried about the effectiveness of the course in online mode. But the way the classes were structured and conducted; I was very happy with the outcome. Mrs. Priya is a good teacher. She gives us appropriate feedback so that we can actually improve our writing skills. She also motivates us from time to time to read and write regularly to enhance our skills. • Do you feel that you can never write like the authors whose books you read on a regular basis? Don't worry you are not alone. A few days back I also had the same feeling but then I joined a creative workshop conducted by Ms. Priya Swaminathan, Proprietor of Priya's Vision Academy. Due to the pandemic, she conducted the workshop through video-conferencing but she also conducts such workshops in person. My wife and I attended this workshop in online mode. You can learn creative writing in the comfort of your home without worrying about the quality of training. Ms. Priya will give an interesting assignment in each session, which you would need to finish. She will review those assignments with you and suggest improvements. Total duration of the course is 3 months. I have just completed one month and already I feel more comfortable in writing original pieces of work which I had never dreamt of before! Though I am not yet close to any of the authors whom I have admired since my childhood, as far as my writing is concerned; I now think that one day I can surely write like them, thanks to this workshop.
