I didn’t go to school
For fear, I’d be made a fool
Only, I could fool everyone, by rule
I thought I was funny, very cool!
My best friend
invited me to his party
I knew he would
‘April Fool’ me dirty
I had another
friend, very arty-arty
I auctioned his
blank canvas and had a laugh, hearty!
Little did I guess, the party was for real
How I rued, the bid went for real
I fooled myself and said ‘YOU APRIL FOOL’
It was a Sunday, there was no school!
