The turn of the century
Has caused a lot of flurry.
To far lands, people are flocking
To see the millennium sun rising!
Then there are
hotels too many
To give you New
Year parties
worth
every penny!
To top it all, there’s the Y2K
Giving all and sundry, many a sleepless
night
and day!
‘Cause everything connected to the millennium
comes
with a premium!
Though the millennium is a year away
The MILLENNIUM MANIA is here to stay!

This poem was written when the year1999 was ending and several people had enthusiastically, but erroneously dubbed it as the end of the millennium instead of the year-ending in December 2000.
