Fiascos

                                  

I tried to bake a cake

And tried some biscuits too.

Only, I baked the oven instead

And tried my patience too!

I tried to boil some eggs

Hard-boiled and half-boiled

Only, I boiled them black and blue

And boiled with anger too!

I tried to roll out chappatis

And make veggies too

Only, I got thick, inedible maps

And cursed my luck too!

After one fiasco too many

I decided not to chance any!

Alas, I’ve to await my grub

From similarly inept chefs!
