Parikrama thought bitterly about how Samidha, who often gave lectures on women’s empowerment at several institutions, was herself not someone who believed in it! Her rules were not the same in private and public.
Parikrama was reminded of the Hindi adage, “Haathi ke khane ke daant aur hote hain aur dikhane ke aur” which meant that an elephant has 2 sets of teeth, one to eat food and the other to show-off to the world! Suddenly she giggled as she imagined the Principal’s face with the body of an elephant.
